Farewell of Bernd Freudenmann

After 18 Years of contribution to DEUTZ, Bernd Freudenmann will be leaving to pursue other career opportunities.

Since commencing his career with DEUTZ AG in June 2000, Bernd has been with the organization for 18 years, of which the last 15 years was spent playing a pivotal role in shaping the Asia-Pacific organization.

Bernd was appointed Head of After-Market Division in DEUTZ organization for Indonesia in November 2002. After 3 years, Bernd moved to Singapore to helm Engine Sales for DEUTZ Asia-Pacific and in 2007, he was appointed as Managing Director of DEUTZ Asia-Pacific.

In 2010, Bernd re-located to Beijing, China to establish DEUTZ Beijing Engine Company, a key platform for DEUTZ’s expansion of footprint and presence into China, a much-watched growing market for the organization. His accomplishments and valued contributions to DEUTZ saw his promotion to Vice President and Head of Asia, tasked with the responsibility of managing all the DEUTZ’s organizations in the region. Since 2014, Bernd has re-located back to Singapore where he currently lives with his wife and two children.

Bernd has been a valued member of DEUTZ. His experience has shaped the organization’s business strategy, commercial and crucial business decisions across Asia and he is widely recognised by his colleagues and business partners. Bernd has played a key role in the conceptualisation and successful execution of various business restructuring and transformation programmes, which have helped to transform the Asia-Pacific business and organisation. Under his capable leadership, Bernd has built solid teams and established critical customer relationships to include key OEMs such as Hitachi, Takeuchi and ISEKI in Japan and TYM and Clark in Korea. Today, DEUTZ delivers over 7,000 engines annually to these new accounts alone.

With Bernd’s impending departure, we will not only lose a good mentor, a boss, but also a good friend in DEUTZ. However, he promised (and we will hold him to this promise) that he will stay in touch with the industry and with DEUTZ.

We wish him the very best in his future endeavours.
