Mr. Rust's practice includes all aspects of civil litigation. He concentrates his practice in commercial litigation, including construction, performance and surety bond, breach of contract, UCC, trade secret and business torts. Mr. Rust's practice also includes real estate litigation as well as insurance coverage and defense litigation, including product, premises, professional, automobile, and contractor liability. Mr. Rust has a significant amount of successful first chair jury trial experience in Federal and State courts representing clients in a wide variety of cases. He is also experienced in the practice of administrative law.
Mr. Rust received his Bachelor of Science degree from Appalachian State University in 1989, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh in 1993 where he was a recipient of the Stahl Memorial Merit Scholarship. He is admitted to all State and Federal Courts in Maryland, all Pennsylvania State Courts and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, all State and Federal Courts in West Virginia, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. From 1994 through 1999, Mr. Rust was in private practice in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A native of Georgetown, Delaware, he moved back to the Eastern Shore when he joined the firm in 2000. He became a principal of the firm the following year.
